Extra Co-Host A.J. Calloway Suspended As Multiple Allegations Of Misconduct Are Investigated

Warner Brothers have officially suspended Extra co-host A.J. Calloway. Multiple allegations of sexual misconduct have come out against him, and while the studio dives into an investigation, Calloway will be off-screen.

The Hollywood Reporter was first to break the news of his suspension. Allegations first came to light last June when Sil Lai Abrams went public with her story about the TV personality. She originally wrote about the assault in her memoir in 2006, but at the time she did not name names. However, in her #METOO report in June, she did mention Calloway. At the time he went on record to state the allegations against him were false, and he would continue to work with authorizes to prove he was not at fault.

In January two to other women joined her in their quest to let the truth about Calloway. The Daily Beast broke that story, including sharing one of the women filed a police investigation with the New Orange Police Department In New Jersey.

Calloway’s suspension went into effect immediately. Despite the new development, the Extra co-host maintains his innocence. His lawyer Lisa E. Davis released a statement on behalf of her client to The Hollywood Reporter once his suspension became public.

“Mr. Calloway maintains that these unsubstantiated allegations are patently false. He vehemently denies that he ever assaulted anyone and looks forward to clearing his name,” she shared. The TV host has not yet responded himself to news he will not be hosting the magazine show while Warner Brothers investigate the allegations against him.

Speaking of the studio that owns Extra, a rep for Warner Brothers TV gave their statement regarding the investigation and allegations against Calloway.
