Jason Sutcliffe was a highly esteemed physical therapist based in Newton, known and cherished by all his patients for his exceptional expertise and sharp business acumen. According to his Facebook profile, his educational journey began at Halstead High School, and he continued his academic pursuits at Hutchinson Community College, where he earned his degree in 2003.
Subsequently, Jason embarked on a path focused on nursing, enrolling at Wichita State University. In 2014, he transitioned into the field of physical therapy by enrolling in Hutchinson Community College’s Physical Therapy Assistant program.
Although he was originally from Eldorado Springs, Missouri, he spent the majority of his life in Kansas. His career initially began as a carpenter, where he dedicated an impressive 16 years honing his woodworking skills and frequently assumed leadership roles within his field.
Before attaining his Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) certification from Hutchinson Community College, Jason worked as a PT tech for two years, all while pursuing his studies at WSU.
In addition to his academic achievements, Jason held credentials in the use of Rock tape and Rock blades, and he was a licensed Tai Chi instructor for rehabilitation purposes. During his free time, he devoted himself to creating lasting memories with his children.
Jason’s career took a significant turn when he accepted the position of VP of Operations/PTA at Empower Physical Therapy, a role he has held since October 20, 2019. This marked a new chapter in his professional journey.

At approximately 12:30 a.m., the unthinkable happened. The vehicle veered off the road to the left, colliding with a Kansas Department of Transportation construction sign and the sturdy guardrail. The impact was severe, causing the Jeep to overturn and come to a rest on its right side.
